With the holiday season rapidly approaching, the scramble to find the right gift has a father upset when a defective toy he purchased from Toys "R" Us uttered offensive swear words. The swearing toy is a police officer equipped with a utility belt. The belt has a button on the side that when pushed, swears. The toy manufacturer, TekNek, defended the toys pronunciation of "Stop" as appropriate even though the toy clearly yells the "f-word", the boys parent said.

The boys father requested the store take the toy off the shelves but the company refused referring him instead to the manufacturer who also refused to pull the toy. The only recourse the father was offered was a toy that didn't swear, leaving other unsuspecting parents the chance the same model of toy may contain the same product defect. Subjecting a young child to a defective product that swears not only offends a parent's sensibilities but could cause personal injury to the child. Anyone who has experienced a toy who swears should contact Smith Phillips so that appropriate action can be taken to force the store to remove the toy from the shelves.
